Germany's W.33 reconnaissance floatplane of 1918 optimised the W-series for extended patrol and observation work. The two-crew layout supported pilot and observer across a mission profile demanding endurance and visibility. With a 15.8-metre span and single engine generating 170 km/h, the W.33 represented a mature seaplane reconnaissance platform developed in the final months of the Great War.
