A capable single-seat fighter of the late 1920s, the D.VII achieved 189 km/h from its single-engine configuration. Its 7-meter fuselage and 8.9-meter wingspan reflected proven aerodynamic principles, while the 266-kilometer range supported patrol and interception missions. Single-pilot operation simplified training requirements.
