Class 1 Medical Examiners in Italy
EASA Part-MED examiners issuing Class 1 aviation medicals across Italy.
A Class 1 medical certificate is mandatory for every commercial and airline pilot. Aviatr lists 36 EASA Part-MED Aviation Medical Examiners and aeromedical centres in Italy authorised to issue and renew Class 1 medicals. The initial Class 1 must be done at an approved Aeromedical Centre (AeMC) or by an authorised AME; renewals can be handled at most listed practices. Compare examiners below on location and appointment availability.
Typical cost
An initial Class 1 medical typically costs €300–600 because of the extended cardiology, audiology and ophthalmology testing. Annual renewals are usually €120–250.
Validity & renewal
A Class 1 certificate is valid for 12 months (6 months once you turn 60, or for single-pilot commercial passenger operations over 40). The initial examination takes around two hours; renewals are quicker.
