The 1952 Tupolev Tu-16 strategic bomber crewed by six with twin engines, 33-metre wingspan, and 34.8-metre fuselage achieved 1050 km/h and 7200-kilometre range. This design established the template for Soviet long-range jet bombers throughout the Cold War. The Tu-16 became one of aviation's most-produced jet bombers.
