The Nieuport Madon was a French fighter aircraft that first flew in 1918 during the final year of the First World War, representing the late-war evolution of Nieuport's classical biplane designs. With a 6.4-meter fuselage and 9.4-meter wingspan, it achieved 220 kilometers per hour maximum speed, matching or exceeding contemporary German fighters. The aircraft embodied accumulated experience from four years of aerial warfare, incorporating refinements learned through intense operational experience. Its emergence at war's end prevented significant operational deployment, but the design informed subsequent fighter development.
