The DH.6 trainer served the British Royal Flying Corps from 1916 onward, educating successive generations of military aviators throughout the Great War. Single-engined and reaching 112.7 km/h across a 10.9-meter span, this 8.2-meter-long aircraft balanced docile handling characteristics with practical range and endurance. It became the preferred ab-initio training platform for instructing novice pilots in fundamental flying skills.
