The Caudron C.280 Phalène of 1932 elevated utility flying with an 850-kilometer range and more refined design than its smaller predecessors. At 8.2 meters long with an 11.6-meter wingspan and single-engine 185 km/h performance, it served as a capable light transport and utility workhorse for the early 1930s.
