The Avro 529 long-range bomber, introduced in 1917, carried three crew across a 19.5-meter span for extended bombing missions. Twin engines generated 187 km/h, enabling strategic bombing missions throughout the final phase of World War I and immediately thereafter. Its development demonstrated increasing specialization and emphasis on strategic bombing capability.
