The Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) is the highest pilot qualification and the route into an airline flight deck. Aviatr lists 21 EASA-approved ATOs in France running integrated ATPL and modular frozen-ATPL programmes. These courses take you from zero experience to airline-ready, combining PPL, hour-building, a multi-engine instrument rating, CPL and the 13 ATPL theory exams.
Typical cost
An integrated ATPL programme typically costs €80,000–150,000; the modular route to the same frozen ATPL is usually €50,000–80,000. A type rating afterwards adds €20,000–35,000, sometimes funded by the airline.
How long it takes
Integrated ATPL courses run 18–24 months full-time. The modular path is more flexible but usually takes 2–3 years. You'll log around 200+ hours and pass 13 theory exams.
