The Wright XF3W Apache racing aircraft debuted in 1926 as a single-seat, single-engine racer with 8.3-metre wingspan and 6.7-metre fuselage. Its 261 km/h speed positioned it competitively in high-speed racing events. The Apache exemplified American racing aircraft design during the Golden Age of air racing.
