The Parnall Puffin was a British fighter reconnaissance aircraft that first flew in 1920, combining single-seat fighter and two-seat reconnaissance in dual-role design. With a 9.1-meter fuselage, 12.2-meter wingspan, and 177 kilometers per hour maximum speed, it provided combined fighter and reconnaissance capability. The two-seat configuration allowed dedicated observer duties while maintaining fighter performance. This compromise design reflected post-war military budgets demanding multi-role platforms.
