Continuing performance enhancements, the D.XIV reached 274 km/h from its single-engine installation, marginally exceeding the D.XIII. The 7.9-meter fuselage and 10.8-meter wingspan maintained efficient proportions while serving combat operations. This variant attracted European and colonial air forces.
