The Beriev MBR-2 debuted in 1931 as a Soviet patrol aircraft serving maritime reconnaissance missions. A crew of four operated this single-engine flying boat across its 13.5-meter fuselage and 19-meter wingspan, achieving speeds near 275 km/h and extended patrol ranges to 1,600 kilometers.
