Your crosswind component decides whether you land or go around.

A 15-knot wind at 45° to your runway means 10.6 kt headwind and 10.6 kt crosswind. Miss that calculation and you may exceed your aircraft's demonstrated crosswind limit — or flare into a drift that rolls a wheel off the edge.

Vindkomponent-tips

Modvind: Modvind: Reducerer grundhastighed men forkorter start/landingsdistance. Generelt gunstigt for start og landing.

Medvind: Medvind: Oeger grundhastighed men forlaenger start/landingsdistance. De fleste flys POH begraenser medvind til 10 knob ved start/landing.

Sidevind: Sidevind: Kraever korrektion under start, landing og taxikoersel. Typiske graenser for lette fly er 15-20 knob demonstreret sidevind.
