The 1935 Yakovlev UT-2 trainer carried a crew of two with single engine, 10.2-metre wingspan, and 7.2-metre fuselage. Reaching 210 km/h with 1130-kilometre range, it served Soviet flight training across the pre-war and wartime periods. The UT-2 became one of the Soviet Union's standard primary trainers.
