The He 46 reconnaissance and army co-operation aircraft of 1931 reflected the tactical evolution of general-purpose military aircraft. Its two-crew configuration supported pilot and observer across reconnaissance and liaison missions, while 250 km/h and 1000-kilometre range enabled flexible deployment. The 14-metre span optimised manoeuvrability and visibility for ground coordination work.
