The HD 25 reconnaissance seaplane of 1926 combined the coastal patrol range with military observation capability. Spanning 14.9 metres with single-engine power, it achieved 203 km/h and demonstrated 910 kilometres of operational range—sufficient for extended North Sea or Baltic patrols. Its two-crew layout supported pilot and observer roles across maritime reconnaissance missions.
